What I care about as a developer

Privacy by default. No third-party SDKs, no analytics, no remote logging in HiRemote. Commands stay on the local Wi-Fi between the iPhone and the TV.
Apple Watch as a first-class surface. A wrist remote should feel like the OS, not like a phone-shrunk webpage.
Reverse-engineering smart-TV protocols. Roku ECP, Hisense VIDAA, Google TV ADB-over-WiFi, Fire TV ADB — each has quirks worth writing about. I write about them on dev.to.
